[f-AA] Cold Weather ###

Joe,

I resided, and owned a home in that part of Scottsdale known as 
Paradise Valley, during the 70's.   I don't remember temps ever getting 
down to 36, but I do remember 117.    I usually planned on having the 
day's yard work done by 10 AM.

The year or so that we lived there were the year or so there were 3 100 
year floods and 1 500 year flood.   I had bought a house in the middle 
of a desert with no thought of asking if it was in a  flood plain.   
Luckily, it wasn't.

On one hand, I loved the desert and still think it is beautiful.   
OTOH, it wasn't home.
