Generally the rpm for recording one hour is stamped on the back of the case. 
The dial markings can be gotten for your engine from the engine TCDS.

Hey Gang,

Does anyone know if there is a way to determine what "red line" a recording
tachometer is designed for, without disassembling the thing?  Anything on
the case?  The one in Loopy has no markings on the face that I didn't put
there myself.
