[f-AA] Short spark plug

If the lifter is magnetized, the check ball inside will not allow the oil pressure to bleed off. To see if a lifter is magnetized, take the rocker cover off and place something iron next to the rocker arm or pushrod. If it sticks, then chances are good the lifter is magnetized. To correct, remove the lifter from the body and get it demagnetized, hopefully nothing else has become magnetized. If the body is magnetized, then the case may have to be split to remove it. Talking to the local engine shop owner, he has seen lifters come back from being reconditioned and they are slightly magnetized. If not caught at this time, during operation, they will become stronger magnetized, failing to bleed down and resulting in valves not closing completely. I have an O-200 which has such a lifter which will be coming in for annual soon and this will need to be addressed.
