Hi Charley,
Sorry 'bout that. We just finished sampling St. Thomas and the BVI- Tortala and are heading to St. Croix tomallee. Drats, my partner will take the seaplane (Otter) and I'll have to bum anpther ride in the DC-3. Another bad day-all in the name of saving the US's fishes (or at least lane, mutton and yellertail snappers). Hope everyone has a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving too.
Safe skies and swamps,
Nancie (tred of cutting little pieces of little fish tails and stuffing into vials)

Sounds OK to me !--We have a little cool front moving through--it will be a high of 70 and a low of 53 today. That's OK though 'cause I see Fairbanks is Severe Clear but -8 and -19--Brrrrr!

Hi Bob,
Not severe clear here in St. Thomas but my spirits are severe clear down in the islands. Successfully bummed a ride this afternoon, in a DC-3 (Four Star Cargo) between San Juan and St. Thomas-bringing my fish sampling supplies and hazard materials over to St. Thomas for another couple weeks of sampling. My view from between the pilot/copilot- center isle was 'severe clear' and the pilot was quite generous to this gawking champ/cub pilot in making sure she took in a lot of information 'bout the plane both before, during and after the flight. A beautiful masterfully orchestrated takeoff from San Juan P. Rico, and as craftsman like well done wheel landing at St. Thomas. I spent another hour or so afterwards chatting with the pilot, retired some three times from regular flying, talking champs, cubs, and plane ole plane talk. It's a drag being a poor biologist and having to bum rides but, geepers if all my rides could be like thi s one. Not sure if my partner/sampler gen
eticist (from College Station, Texas) was as enthralled as myself but I didn't even give that much thought, just told him to get in, buckle up and enjoy!
Safe skies and swamps,
Nancie, Suzie Q and ole ratty/clankitty Jerry- aka Bill's ole cub

Gregg,
You might want to come down here to Sunny S/W Florida where it will be
severe clear and 78f today--you could do a little research on EXPERIMENTAL
