It was a balmy 25F, when I took off yesterday, after preheating with my forced air propane heater, for about 45 minutes. Climbing up to 6000, at 65, I managed to see 140 on the oil temp. Cruising at 2250, I am lucky to see 110! This sucks. I blocked the vent under the prop, with trusty duct tape, and it made no difference, as best I can tell. I have heard the oil tank diaper things don't help much. Has anyone gotten bold, and fabbed a sheet aluminum box around the oil tank, with a small SCAT tube, from the left stack? (Only on an "experimental" of course...) It could easily be made adjustable, with a small flapper valve, and a choke cable, like the cabin heat. Having condensation dripping out of my breather line, after shutdown, really makes me cringe. That crankshaft is worth more than my sister. Kyle
