For those who do not know Scott and the airplane he is talking about, he owns the Ryan
monoplane that was used to carry the MGM "Leo the lion" around the country way back in
the 1930's. It crashed years ago and was forgotten for a very long time.
He found the wreck, went out and salvaged the bits and pieces then did the impossible by
contacting MGM and talking them out of the paperwork for the plane. He is now collecting
the bits to restore it to its original condition, complete with the cage that held the Leo the
lion. Last time I was at his place he had just gotten a beautiful polished Ham Standard prop
for the plane.
Truely a one of a kind airplane and glad to see that its in such good hands.
