Mike, I am showing my geographical ignorance, here, no doubt...But what about your elevation, and barometric pressure? If you are at 3-4000 feet, and in a low pressure system, you might see numbers in the 190's for boiling. A little salt in the water, would do the same thing. I don't know about Iron. hmmmm...isn't it Ohio where the rivers catch fire? Might be a significantly lower flash point ;^) Don't drink that stuff Mike.

My two oil temp gauges show that Ohio Water with alot of iron seems to boil at 190 deg F, If I buy a new one can I get closer to the real # or do I need to go far north or south?
Both gauges that I have start at 100 F, all I find with Google is 100 or I could go 0 deg C any thoughs or is 190 close enough??
Mikek having to but two of everything since I got two champs one flying the other a project.
