[f-AA] Paint problems

PC, and others...I too have flaking paint, in places, and the financial crystal ball shows no recover in the near future. The ceconite tests good, with a Maule tester, and I haven't seen anything scary while peering through the inspection covers. I now know I bought a "Paint and sell" special, but hindsight is always good. That said, I am hoping to hold the paint on enough to get through one, and hopefully two more years. My question is, will an IA flunk me for ugly paint, with some chips, and cracks on an annual? If so, I'd better bone up on my rejuvinating skills before March... Thanks, Kyle

Once the paint has started to separate from the fabric the only real solution is to recover.

When pre-purchase inspecting a 7AC recently, I found that certain
portions of the fabric areas, namely the stabilizer and some of the top
area of the fuselage have some of the paint that had cracked. It is to
the point where in places it has actually lifted and begun to separate
from the fabric. The wings and elevator have been recovered in the not
too distant past. It's the other areas that were not that perhaps had
paint a little too thick and then have experienced a combination of sun
and perhaps some sort of trauma, perhaps hail on the stabilizer, the are
the problem. Suggestions? A couple of people have mentioned a product
they referred to as "Rejuvenate" (sp?).
