[f-AA] Owl in hangar?

Ol' Sneaky is very camera shy. Sometimes he will get real lazy when his belly is full and he falls asleep on the top of a purlin in the hangar and you can catch him there. Finally got the runway mowed this morning and committed a little aviation in JYD. Guess it is like riding a bicycle - you just don't forget. Got back to OI and it was 102 in the hangar so I headed for home and some manufactured air.

Hi Carl,
Sounds like you have been busy. Lets see some pictures. (especially of the snake)
As a thought, it would be nice if we had a place where we could list some pictures of projects, progress, and so forth. Is that something we could do on the fAA website John? On another airplane list of which I am a member, we use Yahoo groups and they have a storage place for photos where members can list them. It works great for ideas, examples, descriptions and so forth.
Speaking of progress, got the boot cowl started and am fitting the tank holes. An instrument punch tool seems to work great so far. Finished the panel and mounted the engine mount. Like to see progress for motivational purposes.

Haven't committed any aviation since 2 July. Just been too wet to even mow the runway at OI. Have had 33" of rain since end of May. Been hammering away on the Bakeng Deuce and It should be airworthy before the first of the year. The '52 Chevy pickemup is also progressing. Just about have the IFS installed and was overhauling the posi rear axle today. SB 400 is ready to snort and just overhauled the turbo 400 tranny. Going to be a real Frankentruck, although probably will have fewer organ donors than JYD. Headed to OI 0600 tomorow to mow the runway and get JYD out of the hangar and see if we both still remember what it was all about. Also been tinkering with the MG to get it ready for #3 grandson Mitchell to drive to school.

Hey Carl,
It has been quiet on your end lately. Everything copasetic at OI? Have you dried out yet?

Ol' Sneaky, the 7' Western King Snake that resides in the nether spaces of the hangar at OI has for years kept the place free of most other life forms.

I'll ask around up here to find out what people are doing, as we have very
few parrot problems. Aircraft fabric eating ravens, however, are another
story!....Louis
